History In October of 2008, Rocky Mountain Desk and SPACES merged to become ELEMENTS. Throughout the merger, the phrase, "best of the best" was used, and continues to drive all decisions throughout the organization. We embraced the rare opportunity that only a merger can bring, to examine the best practices of both organizations and choose or develop the "best of the best." The best technologies, processes, purchasing efficiencies, and manufacturer relationships combine, allowing us to provide the ultimate customer experience.
Prior to the merger, incorporated in 1983, Rocky Mountain Desk was built on a foundation emphasizing long standing client relationships through a focus on quality, value, and total customer satisfaction. Rocky Mountain Desk partnered with its flagship manufacturer Knoll, and many other specialty manufacturers to provide effective and attractive work environments. As a design leader in the industry, Knoll and Rocky Mountain Desk lived by the quote which Florence Knoll became famous, "Good Design is Good Business." To ensure the quality of the overall project, Rocky Mountain Desk was passionate about utilizing employees for installation rather than contracted installation firms. It was the final step in quality assurance to achieve ultimate customer satisfaction. SPACES, purchased as Furniture Distributors, Inc. in 2002, shared the philosophy of providing a quality installation by using their own installation crews. Just as Rocky Mountain Desk brought their relationship with Knoll to ELEMENTS, in addition to furniture solutions, SPACES brought a more diversified offering through an architectural group of products and an expanded list of services. The architectural products group features, but is not limited to, DIRTT modular walls, Interface carpet, and Skyco window coverings. An expanded service offering was also incorporated including an electronic bar coding system which interfaces with SAP purchasing systems. More products, more services, more ways to service our customers.
We continue to search for "The best of the best" in everything we do. We owe it to our customers.
